CO-5 is now an open seat! Fighting Dem Jay Fawcett, featured recently in a CNN.com article on the fighting dems visit to DC, is running in one of the most conservative districts in the country, Colorado 5, home of Dobson and his awful followers at Focus on the Family. The incumbent for 20 years was Joel Hefley. Well, he's retiring. Now, Jay, the only Dem, can sit back and watch a bloody primary as every republican and their mother tries to get the nomination becuase it seems like a sure win. But, the state and national parties know this is a winnable race. Hopefully, Jay is the guy who can do it: Air Force vet, Iraq War (I) vet, former Air Force professor, policy wonk, and good guy. This will now become one of the hottest races in CO and maybe the country. So, step up to the plate and help another fighting dem who has much more than a fighting chance (sorry that was really bad).
